I did some Queen concepts based off of the moodboards, images and shapes that I drew. I started off with a lot of detail and simplified everything down. I also found it useful for figuring out a unified art style.
These are the concepts I did for the Spirit but I had a hard time finding a style I was happy with.
I put together some more moodboards for the Spirit as I want to finalize his design so I found some more specific reference for his head, clothes and scythe.
