I started thinking about final designs for the spirit and I drew this. I liked the idea of giving him armour and a scythe for his main weapon while keeping the hood. I also want to put a moon symbol on his chest as the moon could be perceived as a God of the tides and the tides could be perceived as Earth's vengeance. I probably need to do more research to get some solid symbolism for this but I definitely want to give him a symbol.
We had our formative Pitch on Wednesday to get some industry feedback. This is my one below. I got some great constructive criticism including to add game play after you make the final decision which I liked. I'm thinking about if the player got the bad ending, they would have to invade Heaven and try to become its Spirit of Vengeance. I'm not sure what I'd have for game play in the good ending but I'll look into it. It was also suggested that I hint at the Queen's backstory in the main narrative and support it with micro-narrative on items and background objects. I think this would be a more effective than my previous idea of simply having micro-narrative items and will make the choice more meaningful. Larry also suggested to tie voodoo into the fabric of the world as most of it is based off Christianity and voodoo doesn't seem fitting.
